Firm Retained by Two U.S. Based Companies to Combat Intellectual Property Infringement in China
The Firm has recently been retained by two industry-leading companies to fight intellectual property infringement in China.
The first company is in the electronics industry, with over $2 billion in annual sales. This client is engaged in numerous intellectual property disputes in China, where it has a number of employees and where it sources many of the electronics products that it sells worldwide. The Firm was retained to provide strategic advice on how to navigate these disputes in China.
The second company is a recognized leader in the fitness industry with approximately $35 million in annual revenue. This company retained the Firm to fight the spread of Chinese-made counterfeits of its famous fitness machine. The counterfeits have taken a chunk out of the Firm's client's revenue, being sold on sites like eBay and Amazon for a fraction of the price of genuine fitness machines. The Firm recently filed a federal lawsuit against distributors of the counterfeits.
